Step into a relaxed South Bay brewery and discover how to make delicious Japanese gyoza from scratch. Led by Chef Darren, this hands-on class keeps things simple and fun, so you won’t overthink those delicate folds.
You’ll start by mixing a flavorful filling of ground pork, cabbage, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onion. The aroma alone will make you eager to get rolling. Then, you’ll learn how to assemble your gyoza, spooning filling into wrappers and mastering the pleat-and-seal technique—trust us, it’s easier than it looks and addictive to do.
Next, you’ll pan-fry your gyoza until the bottoms are crispy and golden, then add water to steam them to perfection inside. While they cook, you’ll whip up a tangy dipping sauce with soy, rice vinegar, and chili oil, creating a perfect balance of flavors. It’s a fun, social experience that’s a little messy in the best way—making store-bought gyoza a thing of the past.
Join us for this authentic LA experience, where you’ll leave with new skills, a full belly, and a story to tell about your homemade gyoza adventure.
